This is a follow up to my original article “Switching From Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks to Windows 8.1“.

 

Note: The article is incomplete and will probably be added to over time.

 

New Features

• Password replaced with Pin (optionally).
• Automatically logged in if your password is correct without needing to select a “Sign In” button or hit return / enter.
• When you snap a Window the remaining windows appear beside it have the “Overview” / “Expose” effect which is not a feature I would have ever though but the subtle boost in my productivity is greatly appreciated.
• Command Prompt – Now supports copy and paste using ctrl+c and ctrl+v and ctrl+a, navigating with the cursor and more…

 

Multi-Tasking

• The new Window Manager / Task View is fantastic. It’s absolutely on par with Apple Mac’s “Mission Control”.
• Window Snapping has a new

 

Customizing

I’m currently using the beta, and it is said that several new customization features are not yet in here. Namely, reverse scrolling / natural scrolling is said to be a confirmed feature but was temporarily removed from the beta.

I’m still using Auto Hot Key and my Razer Blade 2014 Script / Mac Keyboard Script.
